The Surprise Post: Our Wedding Trailer

So yesterday, I promised to reward you guys for being such a forgiving audience and I promise that this surprise does not disappoint.
It’s our WEDDING TRAILER.
Now, I know a bunch of you want to scroll down immediately to watch it but I figured I’d give the back story to how this beauty came to be.  Trust me it was not easy.
We hired Tom Bowen films to do our videography.  While Tom was great for the most part, we did have a few hiccups when it came to our trailer.
Originally, Mr. A asked Tom if he could rush complete our trailer.  We were going to be in South Carolina a month after our wedding and Mr. A wanted to be able to show the video to his family that couldn’t make the wedding.  Tom, out of the goodness of his heart, agreed to do it without an extra cost.
Then, we got the trailer….And I hated it.  First of all, it was like 11 minutes long, including Mr. A’s entire vows and my entire vows, boring.  I mean it was my wedding and I was still snoozing by minute three.  On top of the snooze inducing length, the background music was a slow tempo song, making the trailer feel even longer.  To top it all off, the shot that was used of our dessert buffet table was with the dessert buffet not even set up.  The how-to directions were still sitting on the table (yes, I’m anal retentive and yes, I made a color coded how-to set up guide for every. single. thing. in our wedding.  It’s okay I have already accepted the fact that I’m crazy.)
As soon as I finished watching the trailer, I turned to Mr. A and said we aren’t sharing that with anyone.  When we got back from South Carolina, Mr. A contacted Tom and explained that we were unhappy with trailer.  To be honest, I don’t think it was because Tom’s work is bad.  In fact, if you look at his website, his working is pretty amazing, hence why we hired him in the first place.  I think that the deadline was so rushed that they put together what they could.  That probably would have been okay for most people but not for us.  Luckily, Tom was very gracious and promised us that he would edit the footage himself.
I’m happy to report that the end product is the total opposite of the original.  It’s re-donk-cu-lous.  There was a point in time where Mr. A watched it at least once a day if not more.  He watched it so much in fact that he can recite to you the entire conversation that we had during our first dance (I married a serious romantic).  Even though I’ve seen it 100 times, I still choke up every single time.
So without too much further ado, below is our video.  Thanks to Tom for uploading it to Vimeo just so I could stick in my blog icon smile The Surprise Post: Our Wedding Trailer

Hope you enjoy it!
